With famous voice actors, nice visuals, and an updated translation, J-rock kitsune otome, Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku, may have what you are looking for.

Released on April 26, 2018 in Japanese, Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku is the story of a woman who becomes part of the lives of a visual-kei band called “Fox Ear” after she discovers that they are kitsune (fox spirits).

To celebrate the game’s one year anniversary release, publisher Digimerce has released a demo version of the game for those interested, but still on the fence. Downloading the demo version gives you access to the prologue for the game and the first chapter of all five characters.

Digimerce has confirmed that they have updated the translations for all their titles after receiving feedback. So, if you were originally turned off by the original translation upon a game’s release, please note that this demo version, you can play and decide if you are happy with the translation.

Otome Obesessed has reviewed two Digimerce/OPERAHOUSE Switch releases, Kitty Love and Iris School of Wizardry, and is in the process of playing through Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku to have a review up the first week of May.
