Yumedori Nostalgia is a pure love visual novel woven by the precarious twists of fate.
Story
When you go through the main gate with a butterfly you encountered on Gojukkan Street, you shall meet your soul mate. That is the “magical spell” passed down from grandmother. One particular summer, Yoshino, a 17-year-old girl, follows a butterfly through the main gate.
Beyond the gate, she finds herself in Taisho Era red-light district of Yoshiwara, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. There she encounters Harufumi, a young writer, and Kocho, a male geisha. Yoshino tries to find her way back to modern times while searching through the Yoshiwara district, where the nights are wild and rowdy…
Characters
◇Harufumi – A Writer (Novelist)
A young writer (novelist) around the age of 20. He is not quite acquainted with women. Although he’s not even there to be a client, he still hangs around the Matsubaraya brothel. Kocho and Harufumi have been friends since they were young. Harufumi comes to visit Kocho to listen to Kocho’s shamisen (traditional Japanese string instrument) and have trivial conversations every day.
◇Kocho – A young man who is a male geisha (a male tayuu).
He is about 24 years old. He was born and raised in Matsubaraya, a brothel within the Yoshiwara Red-Light District and that is the reason why he is bound by the “Laws of Yoshiwara”. He is used to handling women, but he also has a pure aspect, too.
◇Yoshino – Main Character
You can change her name. (The name must be within 4 characters.) A regular 17-year-old high school student. An outgoing and positive girl.
